Michio Fujinami was born in the suburbs of Tokyo, Japan. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from Shibaura Institute of Technology and began his career in the international division of a major Japanese construction firm, where he worked for nearly a decade.

After attaining his First-Class Architect licence in Japan, he established Fujinami Architects & Associates (FAA) in Singapore in 1989—one of the first registered Japanese architecture firms in the country. By 2000, FAA had completed over 150 projects across Singapore and the region, and received the BCA Best Buildable Design Award in 1999 for the Sumitomo Warehouse.

In 2004, he expanded the practice into Vietnam with the establishment of Fujinami Construction Consultant Co., Ltd. (FCC) in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a branch in Hanoi. He has since overseen the delivery of over 50 projects in Vietnam.

日本・東京郊外に生まれ、芝浦工業大学にて建築学士号を取得後、日本の大手建設会社の国際部門にて約10年間にわたり実務経験を積む。

一級建築士資格を取得後、1989年にシンガポールにてFujinami Architects & Associates（FAA）を設立。同社は、シンガポールにおける初期の日本系建築設計事務所の一つである。2000年までにシンガポールおよび地域において150件以上のプロジェクトを手掛け、1999年には住友倉庫プロジェクトにてBCA（建設庁）最優秀ビルダブルデザイン賞を受賞。

2004年にはベトナムへ事業を拡大し、ホーチミン市にてFujinami Construction Consultant Co., Ltd.（FCC）を設立、さらにハノイにも拠点を開設。これまでにベトナムにおいて50件以上のプロジェクトを統括している。

Michio Fujinami sinh ra tại vùng ngoại ô Tokyo, Nhật Bản. Ông tốt nghiệp Cử nhân Kiến trúc tại Viện Công nghệ Shibaura và bắt đầu sự nghiệp tại bộ phận quốc tế của một tập đoàn xây dựng lớn của Nhật Bản, nơi ông làm việc gần 10 năm.

Sau khi đạt chứng chỉ Kiến trúc sư Hạng Nhất tại Nhật Bản, ông thành lập Fujinami Architects & Associates (FAA) tại Singapore vào năm 1989—một trong những công ty kiến trúc Nhật Bản đầu tiên được đăng ký tại đây.
