The Japanese Association, Singapore has been the gathering place for the Japanese expatriate community in Singapore since its inception in 1915. The present clubhouse, opened in 1998, was designed as a place for interaction between various age groups and communities, and contains facilities such as restaurants, classrooms, library, auditorium, etc. Since the building’s completion in 1998, it has undergone several major refurbishments to continually renew its spatial management in order to cater for the changing demographics and lifestyles of its users.
FAA has been responsible for few of the latest major refurbishments at the Japanese Association, redesigning the interiors of the main hall, atrium, fitness centre, restaurants, classrooms, etc. FAA has also aided the management in reorganizing the spatial layout for a more efficient usage of space and has designed the spaces to best suit the needs of the users.
